Ring 3 – Mini & In-Hand Showing

No horse/pony under the age of 4 to be ridden in a class.

Colts/Stallions must be bitted and their handlers must be aged 14 years or over.

Previous trophy winning combinations in Class 24 and horses in class 27 may compete in these classes, but points will not be awarded towards the trophy again.

Mini classes start 9:30am prompt

Class 20 – Best Turned Out

Lead rein and first ridden competitors only. Riders 12 years and under. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 21 – Best Young Handler

Open to any handler 12 years and under. All ages welcome, however must be capable of controlling their horse/pony without assistance. Qualifier for TSR  & BBA

Class 22 – Best Mini Lead Rein

Open to riders 6 years and under. Leaders must be 16 years or over. An extra person is permitted to support the rider, however must be dressed appropriately. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 23 – Best Lead Rein

Open to riders aged 7-12 years. Leaders must be 16 years or over. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 24 – Best First Ridden

Open to riders 12 years and under. Competitors will not be expected to canter in a group. Cantering in the individual display is not compulsory. Qualifier for TSR & BBA


Mini Showing Championship

All 1st and 2nd placed competitors from classes 20-24 are invited to present themselves for our Mini Showing Championship. This class is free to enter, and both the chosen Champion and Reserve will receive a large rosette and their photo on our Champion’s page.


In-Hand classes start approx 11:00am 

Class 25 – In-Hand Best Turned Out

Open to any horse or pony, in any state. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 26 – Best Handler

Excluding handlers aged 12 years and under. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 27 – Best In- Hand Novice Horse/Pony & Youngstock

Open to genuine novice/nervous horses or ponies. Youngstock no older than 3 years. Highest placed youngstock to receive a special rosette. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 28 – Best In-Hand Horse/Pony

Open to horses and ponies of any age or breed, shown in any state. Qualifier for TSR & BBA


Lunch Break, classes to resume approx 1:00pm

Class 29 – Best Veteran

Open to horses or ponies aged 15 years or over. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 30 – Best Mountain & Moorland

Open to any pure bred Mountain & Moorland horses or ponies. To qualify for Equifest, ponies must be registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A,B,C and D. Qualifier for Equifest & BBA

Class 31 – Best Coloured

Open to all broken coloured horse or pony. May be plaited, hogged or traditional. Qualifier for TSR & BBA

Class 32 – Best Show Cob/Cob Type

Open to traditional or show cob typed. May be plaited, hogged or traditional. Excluding M&MQualifier for TSR & BBA


In-Hand Showing Championship
