My young daughter joined Wrekin North at the beginning of 2019 and she has so enjoyed competing at the show and having a great time with friends that I wanted to be able to join the team to help out, particularly utilizing my legal skills in the background. In addition to Club Secretarial duties, I have taken over as lead on safeguarding issues.
I have ridden and competed since I was young but enjoy a quieter life hacking my cob mare and looking after my two retired old ladies and my husband’s Shire. I have passed the main riding baton over to my daughter who loves taking part in Pony Club and competing, mostly in jumping on her Bay Unicorn Pony “Jumping Jack Flash”!
Show Jumping Co-Ordinator – Sarah Childs
I’ve owned and ridden horses for the past 35 years and have been part of local riding clubs, judging and organizing events for the past 25 years. I have competed in various equestrian disciplines including dressage, eventing and endurance but show jumping has been my main passion. I really enjoy judging and seeing people progress

Hi I’m Lisa, I’ve been riding since I was 2/3 years old! I have my own business doing rug washing but my main job is support worker/healthcare. I found my heart horse in 2022 on my birthday! We have started our showing experience at Wrekin North Riding Club in 2023! What an experience its been! Fantastic club, fantastic judges & a great committee behind the scenes.
I am proud to be a part of the organization that is Wrekin North Riding Club! My role behind the scenes is big & busy! Points, rossettes, organizing judges & more admin side of things! Always happy to help if queries match my department!

Hi I’m Amanda. Wife and mother of one, my main job is laboratory chemist and part time first responder.
I have been involved with horses since the age of 10 and enjoy all aspects from endurance to one day events. Many of you will know me as the First Aid lady in the Hi-Viz jacket who has been at most of the recent Wrekin North Shows ready to care for any mishaps.
I am really looking forward to helping to take the Shows and Events from strength to strength in the upcoming year and I will still be there as the Clubs regular First Responder
.
Committee Member – Jason Childs
As the husband of a horsey wife, I got involved many years ago with my wife’s equestrian hobby. I have been involved with various Clubs over the years doing maintenance, stewarding and fence repairs. With all the new fences and equipment I’m looking forward to seeing Wrekin North go from strength to strength in 2021.
