We would like to introduce our new committee for 2017

Chair Person = Tracy Young

Hello I’m Tracy and I’m the new chairman of Wrekin North Riding Club! I’ve always supported the club with the physical hard work, but I’m delighted to be part of behind the scenes now too! I regularly compete at the show ground and hope to continue to do so this year. I will also be running the ‘Training Nights’ where everyone is welcome to have a go at jumping or dressage, without the pressure of competition! I will be on hand if anyone would like any help or advice and if you would like someone to come into the ring with you and help talk you around the course, I’m more than happy to do so. Looking forward to seeing you all in the spring!

Vice-Chair = Michelle Sutton

Hi everyone, I’m Michelle and I am honored to be your new Vice Chairman. I have been horse riding since I was 4 and have competed at pony club level. I got back into horse riding and competing when I met Kelly Rochford and Tracy Young last year. This year I have had an awesome season thanks to Wrekin North Riding Club and I want to give something back to the club and help in anyway that I can. Club Secretary = Julie Whittingham

Hi guys, I’m Julie Whittingham and I am very happy to be the Club Secretary this year. I have ridden at Wrekin North since I was 8, on my pony Misty Morning and then Fire Fly. I have just started back in the last few years with the jumping scene with Mookie, she is better known than me; I call her my cow pony! Looking forward to this season with you all!

 

Treasurer = Kaylee Murray

Hi Everyone, I’m Kaylee and I’m the treasurer for this year. I’ve worked on the committee for WN for the last few years. This year I’ve taken a more back seat role as I’m hoping to get out and enjoy competing with my horse Maddie after 2 years out of the saddle. I look forward to seeing all of you at the shows and training events.

Vice Treasurer = Barbara Hill

Hi I’m Barbara, I attended Wrekin North show many moons ago with my first horse, Dusty, when I was in my teens. After a break and my daughters were old enough to look after themselves, I had Blue as a four year old; she is now eighteen. We have mainly done dressage and happy hacking around Broseley. I will be attending the Friday and Sunday shows, mainly taking photos with my other half graham; as KindofMajic Photography. I am looking forward to the Wrekin North shows and making new friends xx

Show Secretary = Alex Murray

Hello! I’m Alex and I’ll be your show secretary for the third year running! I’ve been involved with Wrekin North for as long as I’ve been involved with horses; my whole life! I’ve helped out with the committee for 4 years now and I love seeing everyone at the shows improve and develop through the seasons. I’ll be the smiling face you see as you come to book into your classes and am always happy to help you! I look forward to seeing both old and new competitors in 2017 and am excited to see what this new season will bring!

Membership Secretary = Samantha Hargreaves

Hi, I’m Sam; I will be doing the membership for WNRC. I have been a member myself since I can remember, competing for the club with BRC and even represented the club at championships and hickstead a few times. I have two of my own horses, one retired and one I compete. My daughters have a pony, with which they both compete at riding club and pony club level. Wrekin North is such a friendly club and I will be looking forward to meeting everyone throughout the 2017 season! 🙂

Points/Trophies = Kelly Rochford

Hi, I’m Kelly and I will be in charge of points and trophies. I have loved horses for as long as I can remember, but only actually started jumping about 2 years ago. I feel that with the help and support of Wrekin North Riding Club, and Tracy Young, I have achieved so much, therefore I am pleased to be able to offer my assistance and give something back to the club. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2017!
